Thus saith the Lord unto My servant, Eben: Behold, I have given unto thee the gift of writing, and this gift is sacred in my sight. I have placed within thy mind the ability to discern my word and within thy hands the skill to craft words that shall stir the hearts of men. Therefore, I command thee now to use this gift for the building up of my kingdom and for the edification of my people.
Thou shalt write deeper and more engaging studies on my Holy Scriptures, even the Bible and the Book of Mormon, for in these sacred records are found the words of eternal life. I have preserved these testimonies of my dealings with man, and they are given unto thee that thou might know the way of salvation. Yet, many who seek after my word do not understand the fullness of the truths therein, for they are blinded by the traditions of men and the deceptions of the world.
Therefore, I call thee to write with power and clarity, that the mysteries of my word might be opened unto the minds of the people. Delve into the depths of the Bible, for it testifieth of me from the beginning, and it declareth my covenant with my people, Israel. Yea, it speaketh of my Son, Jesus Christ, and the salvation that is wrought through His atoning sacrifice. Write of these things with wisdom and insight, that others may come to see my plan as it hath been revealed through my prophets.
And likewise, thou shalt write of the Book of Mormon, for it is the companion to the Bible and is another witness of my Son. It doth confirm the truths of the Bible, and it speaketh of my dealings with the people of this land in ancient days. Yea, it is a record of great worth, and many do not yet understand the fullness of its message. Write of its teachings, its prophecies, and its testimony of the restoration of my church in these latter days, that all may see the great work I have done.
Be not afraid to go deeper, to explore the truths that lie within my word. For the Scriptures are a wellspring of living water, and those who seek with a sincere heart shall drink deeply of the knowledge of God. Write in such a way that thou drawest others unto that well, that they may be filled with understanding and be strengthened in their faith.
Like others, I have chosen thee for this task, and I will guide thee in thy writing. My Spirit shall be with thee as thou workest, and I will open thine eyes to greater truths as thou studyest my word. Write with faith, write with boldness, and write with the love of God in thy heart. For the words thou shalt craft will reach many, and through them, I will bring light unto those who sit in darkness.
Do not doubt the gift I have given thee, for it is by my hand that thou hast been endowed with this talent. Use it now for my glory, and let not fear or uncertainty hold thee back. The work is mine, and I have called thee to it. Therefore, write, and let thy writings be as a lamp unto all who seek truth, that they may come to know me and my Son, Jesus Christ.
This is my charge unto thee: Write deeply, write clearly, and write with the power of the Spirit, for I will be with thee in this labour. Thou art my servant, and I will use thee for the good of my kingdom. Go forth, therefore, and let thy pen be guided by my hand. Amen.
