New Series – “More Than This”

The More Than This series has been created to guide the faithful in weekly spiritual contemplation, centred upon the eternal truths revealed in the Holy Bible and the Book of Mormon. Its name—More Than This—expresses a sacred conviction that this life, with all its burdens, joys, trials, and limitations, is not the end. There is something beyond. There is purpose behind mortality, and a divine inheritance awaiting those who endure in faith, keep their covenants, and walk in obedience to God’s commandments.

In a world increasingly fixated on the fleeting and the temporal, this series is a call to lift our gaze—to remember the promises of Heavenly Father and to act each day with the understanding that we are children of eternity. These weekly reflections are not academic expositions, nor sentimental thoughts. They are devotional meditations designed to strengthen discipleship, deepen covenant awareness, and rekindle hope in the Saviour’s ultimate promise of redemption and eternal life.

Each entry pairs a passage from the Bible with a complementary witness from the Book of Mormon, drawing upon the power of two sacred testimonies to highlight enduring principles of the gospel. Through scriptural reflection, personal application, and covenant reminders, the series aims to nourish the soul and provide weekly renewal for those pressing forward on the path of discipleship.

As the series unfolds over the course of a year, readers will be reminded again and again that faithfulness is not in vain, and that the life to come is both real and reachable. The Rock is sure. The foundation is strong. And the promises of God are certain.

There is more than this—and it has been prepared from the foundation of the world for those who love Him.

“For our light affliction… worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory… the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” (2 Corinthians 4:17–18) “Consider on the blessed and happy state of those that keep the commandments of God… they are received into heaven… to dwell with God in a state of never-ending happiness.” (Mosiah 2:41)
