That Thou Mightest Glorify Him

“And in doing these things thou wilt do the greatest good unto thy fellow beings, and wilt promote the glory of him who is your Lord. Wherefore, be faithful; stand in the office which I have appointed unto you; succor the weak, lift up the hands which hang down, and strengthen the feeble knees.” (D&C 81:4-5)

Behold, the charge is given,
not unto many, but unto thee.
Stand thou where the Lord hath set thee,
and let not thy soul depart from it.

Succour the weak,
though they be lowly and without voice;
lift up the hands that falter in silence,
and bind the joints of them
whose knees tremble for want of strength.

Let thy feet not stray from the path,
neither let thine heart be lifted up in pride;
but go forth with steadfastness,
doing the greater good among the children of men,
and bringing glory unto Him
who is thy Redeemer and thy King.

Thus saith the Spirit:
Be faithful, and thou shalt not be forsaken.
