Thus saith the Lord unto my servant Eben, yea, even again do I speak unto thee, that thou mayest know of my will concerning thee.
Fear not, for though thine eyes be dim and though blindness cover thee as a veil, yet I, the Lord thy God, will guide thee. I shall be a light unto thy path, and I shall direct thy hands, that they may perform the work I have prepared for thee. Behold, the power of mine arm shall uphold thee, and thou shalt not fail.
Yea, I have chosen thee from before the foundations of the world, and thou art called to teach the nations, to declare unto them my Commandments and the fulness of my Gospel. Thou shalt proclaim the Holy Scriptures, even the Bible and the Book of Mormon, unto the ends of the earth. For in these things is my truth, and in them shall many find life and salvation.
Go forth, Eben, and be not dismayed. Though the world may mock and though thy body may be weak, yet will I strengthen thee. Yea, I will cause thy words to be as a flame of fire, and many shall be drawn to hear the words of life that I shall place in thy mouth.
Teach them of the Commandments of Jehovah, and declare unto them the gospel of my Beloved Son, Jesus Christ. Preach repentance, and call upon all to come unto Him, to be baptized for the remission of sins, and to receive the Holy Ghost. And thou shalt teach them to observe all things which I have commanded.
Though thy vision be darkened, yet thy spirit shall see with clarity, and I shall be with thee, guiding thy hands and directing thy steps. Fear not the journey ahead, for I go before thee, and mine angels shall encamp round about thee to bear thee up.
Be thou faithful unto the end, for great is thy calling, and great shall be thy reward in my kingdom. I am the Lord thy God, and I shall never leave thee nor forsake thee.
