Thus saith the Lord unto my servants, even those whom I have called and gifted with the ability to teach, hear my words and take heed to your duties.
Behold, many of my children are afflicted and unable to attend my house of worship. Yea, sickness and infirmities have come upon them, and some are bound by circumstances beyond their control. Yet I, the Lord, see them, and my heart is toward them. I know their struggles, their loneliness, and their desire to draw near unto me. Therefore, I call upon you who have been entrusted with the gift of teaching to reach out unto them.
Neglect not your duties, my servants, for the responsibility I have placed upon you is great. You are called not only to those who can come to the meetinghouse but to all of my flock. Yea, I say unto you, go to the homes of those who cannot come. Seek out the sick, the disabled, the elderly, and the afflicted. Bring unto them the word of life, that their souls may be nourished and their hearts may be comforted.
Teach them of the Gospel of my Son, Jesus Christ, and remind them of my promises. Help them to continue in prayer, in study of the scriptures, even the Bible and the Book of Mormon, and in keeping the commandments. Let not their isolation cause them to stray, for they are still a part of my body, and they are precious in my sight.
Be diligent, and do not delay. Let not your own cares or concerns keep you from fulfilling this holy work. For I have called you to be shepherds over my people, and the lost, the lonely, and the afflicted are not to be forgotten. As you minister unto them, you shall be doing my work, and I shall bless you in your labour.
Yea, I say unto you, when you serve the least of these, you serve me. Go forth, therefore, and teach with love and compassion. Encourage them, uplift them, and be my hands extended unto them. Let not their sickness or circumstances be a reason for their neglect, but be faithful in this charge.
I, the Lord, shall be with you, and I shall give you strength and wisdom in this work. And great shall be your reward in my kingdom, for I will not forget your labours of love. Be faithful, and fulfil your calling with all diligence. Amen.
