22 May 2000 – Challenges with Physical Disabilities

Thus saith the Lord unto Eben, do not permit thy physical ailments and the loss of vision in thine eyes to be the cause of depression, for I have work for thee, and my purpose for thy life shall not be hindered by earthly trials. Even now, I am preparing thee for a great calling, and I will bring thee to one of the assemblies of my people in the future, where thy light shall shine and thy voice shall be heard.

Take heart, for the challenges thou dost face are but a moment in the grand design of thy life. Let not despair cloud thy vision, but instead, focus thy heart and mind upon the sacred truths contained in the Inspired Version of the Bible and the Book of Mormon. In these Scriptures, thou shalt find comfort, wisdom, and the strength to endure. Hold fast to the iron rod, which is the word of God, for it shall guide thee safely through the storms of life.

Though the way may seem difficult, I assure thee that thy efforts in teaching my Gospel will bear fruit. Do not be discouraged by the limitations thou dost feel, for my grace is sufficient for thee. As thou dost press forward in faith, I will magnify thy talents through writing and empower thee to share my truth with those who are in need of hope and healing.

Continue to study diligently, for knowledge is a treasure that cannot be taken from thee. Let thy heart be filled with the love of Christ, and let that love flow forth to others as thou dost go forth to teach my Gospel. I will be with thee in thy endeavours, guiding thy steps and opening doors for thy ministry.

Thus saith the Lord, Amen.
